Roadmap

The general direction, version by version. Themes only: the dates below are targets, not promises, and plans can move as the work teaches us more.

Current release: 0.7.2.1.

The goal

EveSynapse is being built into the most complete EVE Online companion we know how to make. Full feature parity with the established companion apps is the floor, not the ceiling, and on top of that an intelligence dashboard that turns raw reports into a picture you can act on. One integrated system, never a patchwork of disconnected tools.

The road to 0.9: public beta

Version 0.9 is the public beta, targeted for November 5, 2026. The work between here and there, in order:

  • The undercut work in its final form: no standalone tool page. Beaten orders are handled in My Orders, and the undercut digest points there.
  • The Market Orders update. This pass is not the final word: the redesign pass below revisits Market Orders.
  • Settings for briefing card notifications: each kind can be a notification, a briefing card, both, or neither.
  • New widgets, and new notification and briefing card types, wired into those settings.
  • New default layouts per playstyle on sign up: the playstyle a player picks when linking sets the home layout they start with.
  • A new default layout for the demo account.
  • A redesign and polish pass for the older pages, with mockups and sample code available for each page. The Market Orders revisit rides this pass.
  • Mobile polish.
  • A bug hunt in real-world use by private testers.

Then 0.9 arrives: the public beta release.

After the beta: the road to 1.0

Version 1.0 is the first full public release: a feature-complete companion built around the customizable widget home for many characters under one account, with the full personal and corporation feature set in place.

Work on the Advanced Management Toolset begins on this road: the corporation and alliance counterpart to the market update, a complete management suite built to replace the aging self-hosted corp platforms, and to eclipse them.

  • Corporation and alliance management refined end to end: doctrines, SRP, groups, fleet operations, alliance-facing pages, and Discord role automation.
  • Upwell structure fitting in the workbench.
  • A migration importer from the incumbent corp platform. It carries only what ESI cannot re-supply: which characters belong to which member, groups and roles, Discord user mappings, op calendar entries, and member notes, with refresh tokens carried on the self-host path only. Doctrines, fits, and SRP history follow as adapters. Passwords and ESI-synced data are never migrated; ESI re-supplies them.
  • A module builder for self-hosters: pick modules from a checklist and the tool resolves the dependency closure and produces a build with only what your group runs.

Self-hosting stays a first-class path at every step: signed releases, one-command updates, and the swarm cache for instances that want to share public data.

Local Data Relay / Privacy Mode

For pilots who want the companion without handing custody of their data to a server, a privacy mode built around a local relay is on the roadmap. The shape of it is still being settled.

Recorded, not yet assigned to an update

  • A fitting shakedown ahead of the Fractured Skies expansion.
  • Deeper intel correlation across reports.
  • Skill-plan optimization beyond the remap advisor: implant and accelerator search over real stored attributes and clone sets.
  • Item compare.
  • Moon mining tax, and a mining and gas operation dashboard.
  • A general AI agent over stored data.
  • Russian and Chinese localization, each translated by a top model and verified by a different top model.

Beyond 1.0

  • 1.2 brings wormhole chain mapping.
